Here is a link to our Duty Roster form for you to download and use.

We have developed this duty roster to be printed as a two sided document. The grocery list is meant to be torn off and handed to the Grubmaster. The PL for the campout keeps the rest of the information to help run the outing. You will see that we have meals, advancement and tent assignments on the duty roster.

How we use this duty roster is three troop meetings from the outing, we have our patrols go into patrol corner and spend five minutes drafting their duty roster. Fill out as much as they can.

The next troop meeting, two troop meetings from the outing, we have the patrols go into patrol corner and spend five minutes finalizing the duty roster. When they are done, they bring it to the SPL. The SPL and SM review to ensure that the patrol has everything that they need for a fun and safe campout. I recommend the SPL for the campout makes a copy so that they can provide better support during the campout. Be prepared to help the PL who forgets his duty roster at home. When the duty roster was good to go, the grocery list was torn off and handed to the Grubmaster to go purchase the food.

As SM, I would make a copy of the drafted and completed duty rosters and pass them along to the Patrol Adult Advisors. This provided the advisors the opportunity to see what their patrols could improve upon, ensure advancement was being considered and provide support for healthier meals in the future.
